1. A solar energy reflector comprising a mirror laminated to a supporting sheet with a bonding material,whereinthe edges of the mirror are provided, at least on a portion forming a major part of their height and closest to the supporting sheet, with an edge protection made of a material comprising at least one of silicone, polyurethane and acrylic,the material forming the edge protection is different from the bonding material,the mirror comprises a glass substrate, a silver coating layer provided at a surface of the glass substrate and at least one paint layer covering the silver coating layer,the total thickness of the mirror is greater than 0.9 mm, andthe mirror does not contain a layer of copper between the silver layer and the paint layer, and said mirror is attached to said supporting sheet through said bonding material, where said bonding material is in direct contact with the paint layer of said mirror and said bonding material is in direct contact with said supporting sheet, and wherein said bonding material is a laminate of a PET film with a layer of acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive directly attached to each side of said PET film.
