1. A method of testing a battery of an electric vehicle, comprising:
- coupling to a databus of the electric vehicle;
monitoring data carried on the data bus and retrieving information related to current flowing into the battery of the electric vehicle;
monitoring data carried on the databus and retrieving information related to a voltage of the battery during operation of the electric vehicle;
compensating for any delay between the monitored current and the monitored voltage to thereby compensate for a time difference between when current flowing into the battery was measured and when a voltage of the battery was measured; and
diagnosing the battery based upon a parameter calculated from the compensated monitored current and monitored voltage.

23. An apparatus for testing a battery pack of an electric vehicle, comprising:
