1. An electronic device, comprising:

  • a receiver configured to receive an input communication signal form from a calling party;

    a controller, in communication with the receiver, configured to read at least a portion of the data output from the receiver,wherein the controller detects an identification of an incoming call from the calling party, and in response to detecting the identification of the incoming call, assigns priority based on a predefined scheme, wherein a higher priority call is forwarded to the electronic device, and a lower priority call is forwarded to voice mail without having the electronic device notify a receipt of the incoming call, regardless of a time of receipt of the incoming call.
