1. A negative pressure wound dressing assembly with an inner ventral surface and an outer dorsal surface, the wound dressing assembly comprising:

  • a first netting layer with a ventral side serving as the ventral surface of the wound dressing assembly configured for placement over a wound;

    a covering layer with a dorsal side positioned away from the wound;

    a second netting layer positioned between the first netting layer and the covering layer;

    a tubing layer positioned between the first netting layer and the second netting layer, the tubing layer comprising a plurality of radially extending tubes positioned between an upper surface of the first netting layer and a lower surface of the second netting layer, the plurality of radially extending tubes of the tubing layer extending outwardly from a central connection junction toward a periphery of the first and second netting layers and being in fluidic communication with the central connection junction that is connectable to one of a source of irrigant and a vacuum source; and

    a vacuum interface chamber for connecting with the vacuum source, the vacuum interface chamber defining an internal space in communication with a plurality of openings along a ventral face or a side surfaces of the vacuum interface chamber for distributing negative pressure from the vacuum source, wherein the vacuum interface chamber is positioned below a central region of the covering layer and above the first netting layer, the second netting layer, and the tubing layer.
