Abstract

Mobile transmitter-receiver (transceiver) unit for receiving and demodulating a video Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) modulated signal. Modulator and transmitter for modulating and transmitting a filtered spread spectrum video baseband signal. Spread spectrum video signal has cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals. Receiver for receiving and demodulating a modulated signal into a demodulated location finder baseband signal. Converter for converting a photo camera generated signal into a converted Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) photo camera baseband signal. Combiner for combining demodulated location finder baseband signal with converted CDMA baseband signal. Modulator and transmitter for modulation and transmission of combined signal. Touch screen control and fingerprint authentication of mobile device.

Claims

1. A mobile transmitter-receiver (transceiver) system comprising:

a first receiver and a first demodulator for receiving and demodulating a first video Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) modulated signal into a first demodulated OFDM video baseband signal and providing said first video baseband signal to an interface of a mobile unit;

a first processor and a first transmit filter for processing and filtering a second video signal generated in said mobile unit and for providing a processed filtered spread spectrum second video baseband signal, said processed filtered spread spectrum second video baseband signal comprises cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals, said first video signal is a distinct signal from said second video signal;

a modulator and a transmitter for modulation and transmission of said second video cross-correlated baseband signals;

a second receiver and a second demodulator for receiving and demodulating a modulated signal into demodulated location finding baseband signal;

a converter for converting a photo camera generated signal into a baseband photo camera signal, said photo camera is in said mobile unit;

providing said location finding baseband signal with said baseband photo camera signal to said modulator and transmitter for modulation and transmission of said location finding baseband signal with said baseband photo camera signal in said mobile unit;

a touch screen generator for generating a touch screen signal, said touch screen signal is used for control of said mobile unit; and

a receiver for receiving a motion generated signal and using said motion generated signal for control of one or more functions of said mobile unit.

The transceiver of claim 1, wherein said spread spectrum second video baseband cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals comprise Time Constrained (TCS) waveform and cascaded Long Response (LR) filtered signals and further comprising a processor and a baseband transmit filter for processing and filtering an input signal into baseband cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase shaped baseband filtered signals, wherein said cross-correlated shaped in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals are signals used in Gaussian Minimum Shift keying (GMSK) systems and further comprising a receiver, demodulator and receive filter for receiving demodulating and filtering a modulated GMSK signal, wherein said demodulator demodulates said modulated GMSK signal with at least one receive filter which is mis-matched with said baseband transmit filter and provides demodulated filtered baseband cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase signals.

3. The transceiver of claim 1, further comprising a processor for processing said touch screen signal into a processed touch screen control signal, wherein said processed touch screen control signal is for remote control of a television (TV) set or of one or more other device.

4. The transceiver of claim 1, further comprising a receiver for receiving a fingerprint generated signal for processing said received fingerprint generated signal into a fingerprint control signal, said control signal is for authentication of authorized use of said mobile unit.

5. The mobile system of claim 1, further comprising a heart rate sensor for detecting and measuring heart rate, said heart rate sensor is in said mobile unit.

6. The system of claim 1, further comprising a processor for processing said touch screen signal into a processed touch screen control signal, wherein said processed touch screen control signal is for remote control of a television (TV) set or of one or more other device.

7. The system of claim 1, further comprising a heart rate sensor for measuring heart rate, said heart rate sensor is in said mobile unit.

8. A method comprising steps of:

receiving and demodulating in a mobile unit a first Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) modulated signal into a first OFDM baseband signal;

providing said first OFDM baseband signal to a modulator for modulation of said OFDM baseband signal into a second OFDM modulated signal;

providing said second OFDM modulated signal to a transmitter for transmission of said second OFDM modulated signal, said first OFDM modulated signal and said second OFDM modulated signal are in different radio frequency bands;

receiving and demodulating a position finding modulated signal into a baseband position finding signal for providing said baseband position finding signal to an interface unit of said mobile unit;

generating in said mobile unit a video signal, processing said video signal into a processed video Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signal, said TDMA signal comprises in-phase and quadrature phase cross-correlated Time Constrained (TCS) waveforms and cascaded Long Response (LR) filter filtered signals;

providing said processed and filtered video TDMA signal to a quadrature modulator for modulation of said processed and filtered video TDMA signal into a TDMA modulated signal; and

receiving a touch screen generated signal for providing from said touch screen generated signal a touch screen control signal, wherein said control signal is used for control of said mobile unit.

9. The method of claim 8, further comprising a method for fingerprint authentication of said mobile unit.
