1. A system for authenticating a user, the system comprising:
- a biometric scanner to scan an input sequence of biometric identifiers, the input sequence including a first biometric identifier that is followed by at least one subsequent biometric identifier in a particular order;
a storage device to store a biometric identifier database;
an input circuit to receive the input sequence of biometric identifiers;
an access circuit to access the biometric identifier database and retrieve a predefined secret sequence of biometric identifiers, wherein the access circuit is to;
detect the first biometric identifier received via the biometric scanner and the input circuit; and
retrieve the secret sequence of biometric identifiers based on detection of only the first biometric identifier;
a comparator circuit to compare the input sequence of biometric identifiers to the secret sequence of biometric identifiers to obtain a result; and
an authorization circuit to, based on the result, allow access to a resource provided by the system.

13. A non-transitory machine-readable medium including instructions for authenticating a user, which when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:
-
reading, at a biometric scanner coupled to a computing device, an input sequence of biometric identifiers, the input sequence including a first biometric identifier that is followed by at least one subsequent biometric identifier in a particular order; accessing a biometric identifier database to retrieve a predefined secret sequence of biometric identifiers, including; detecting the first biometric identifier received via the biometric scanner and the input circuit; and retrieving the secret sequence of biometric identifiers based on detection of only the first biometric identifier; comparing the input sequence of biometric identifiers to the secret sequence of biometric identifiers to obtain a result; and based on the result, allowing access to a resource provided by the computing device. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16)
