1. A computer-implemented method comprises:

  • transmitting, to a client device, data comprising contents of one or more medical study instruments, with at least a portion of the transmitted data being condensed data in which portions of the one or more medical study instruments are condensed into data for rendering in a reduced number of graphical user interfaces or graphical views, relative to a number of graphical user interfaces or graphical views for displaying the portions independent of condensing;

    receiving, from the client device, data indicative of answers to questions in the one or more medical study instruments, the received data comprising data indicative of one or more answers to one or more questions represented in the condensed data;

    storing in a data repository by one or more processing devices, references to the one or more questions represented in the condensed data, in association with one or more pointers to one or more portions of the received data;

    retrieving by one or more computers one or more scoring rules;

    executing by one or more computers the one or more scoring rules; and

    determining, by one or more processing devices based on execution of the one or more scoring rules to the data indicative of the answers to the questions in the one or more medical study instruments, score values for one or more of the questions;

    wherein the scoring rule comprises a series of instructions for assigning a first score value to a first answer to a first question and for assigning a second score value with a second question.
