1. A full-duplex transceiver comprising:

  • a radio-frequency transmit chain operative to generate a combined radio-frequency signal including an outgoing radio-frequency communication signal having a center frequency, and a first radio-frequency test signal having a center frequency different from the center frequency of the outgoing radio-frequency communication signal;

    a power amplifier operative to amplify the combined radio-frequency communication signal;

    a transmit antenna operative to transmit the combined radio-frequency communication signal;

    a receive antenna operative to receive an incoming radio-frequency signal, wherein the incoming radio-frequency signal includes a radio-frequency test component caused by the transmitted first radio-frequency test signal and a self-interference component caused by the transmitted radio-frequency communication signal;

    a radio-frequency demodulator operative to demodulate at least the radio-frequency test component to obtain a demodulated test component;

    an analog-to-digital converter operative to sample the demodulated test component; and

    a digital decoding module operative to determine nonlinear distortion introduced by the power amplifier using the sampled demodulated test component.
