Takeover processes in security network integrated with premise security system
First Claim
1. A system comprising a gateway positioned at a location and configured to maintain a single coupling to a security system via a first controller of the security system, and to separately couple to network devices including cameras installed at the location, wherein the gateway is configured to receive security data of a plurality of security system components of the security system and to use the security data to form a security network by storing at the gateway at least a portion of the security data and executing the at least the portion of the security data at a second controller that is a component of the gateway, wherein the gateway is configured to control triggers and actions between the plurality of security system components and the network devices with a set of automation rules that control actions of the network devices in controlling parameters of the location.

Abstract
An integrated security system is described comprising a gateway located at a first location. The gateway includes a takeover component that establishes a coupling with a first controller of a security system installed at the first location. The security system includes security system components coupled to the first controller. The takeover component automatically extracts security data of the security system from the first controller. The gateway automatically transfers the security data extracted from the controller to a second controller. The second controller is coupled to the security system components and replaces the first controller.
