1. A method of measuring anterior-posterior slope or tilt in support of a bone cut comprising the steps of:

  • placing a first bone and a second bone in a predetermined position;

    coupling a first bone cutting jig to the first bone;

    coupling a prosthetic component to the first bone cutting jig wherein the prosthetic component houses a position measurement system configured to measure position, tilt, or rotation, wherein the prosthetic component houses at least one sensor configured to measure a parameter, and wherein the prosthetic component is not installed in the musculoskeletal system when coupled to the first bone cutting jig;

    measuring the anterior-posterior (A-P) slope of a bone cut of the first bone with the position measurement system in the prosthetic component;

    preparing the bone surface of the first bone haying the A-P slope measured by the position measurement system in the prosthetic component;

    subsequently installing the prosthetic component in the musculoskeletal system; and

    measuring the parameter with the at least one sensor.
