1. A method for controlling an uplink transmission power in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a terminal, information indicating which downlink carrier is applied as a pathloss reference downlink carrier for measuring a pathloss associated with uplink transmission among a plurality of downlink carriers;
measuring, by a terminal, the pathloss of the path loss reference downlink carrier;
receiving, by a terminal, a transmit power control (TPC) command;
determining, by a terminal, the uplink transmission power based on the TPC command and the measured pathloss; and
transmitting, by a terminal, data using the determined uplink transmission power,wherein the information comprises one of first information indicating a predefined downlink carrier and second information indicating a downlink carrier linked to an uplink carrier.

Abstract
Methods and apparatuses are provided for controlling an uplink transmission power in wireless communication system. Information is received indicating a reference downlink carrier among a plurality of downlink carriers for measuring a pathloss. The pathloss of the indicated reference downlink carrier is measured. A transmit power control (TPC) command is received. The uplink transmission power is determined based on the TPC command and the measured pathloss. Data is transmitted using the determined uplink transmission power.
