Abstract

There is provided a system for delivery of personalized audio including a memory and a processor configures to receive a plurality of audio contents, receive a first playback request from a first user device for playing a first audio content of the plurality of audio contents using the plurality of speakers, obtain a first position of a first user of the first user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers, and play, using the plurality of speakers and object-based audio, the first audio content of the plurality of audio contents based on the first position of the first user of the first user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

a plurality of speakers; and

a media device for playing a movie having a first audio content for the movie in a first language and a second audio content for the movie in a second language different than the first language, the media device including;

a memory configured to store an audio application;

a processor configured to execute the audio application to;

obtain a first position of a first user of a first user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers;

obtain a second position of a second user of a second user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers;

play, during the playing of the movie and using first one or more of the plurality of speakers, the first audio content for the movie in the first language, based on the first position of the first user of the first user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers; and

play, during the playing of the movie and using second one or more of the plurality of speakers, the second audio content for the movie in the second language, based on the second position of the second user of the second user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to execute the audio application to:

receive a first playback request from the first user device for playing the first audio content; and

receive a second playback request from the second user device for playing the second audio content.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein the first audio content includes a cancellation audio to cancel at least a portion of the second audio content.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein obtaining the first position includes receiving the first position from the user device.

5. The system of claim 1, further comprising a camera, wherein obtaining the first position includes using the camera.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to receive a first audio profile from the first user device, and play the first audio content further based on the first audio profile.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein the first audio profile includes at least one of a language and a listening mode.

8. The system of claim 7, wherein the listening mode includes at least one of normal, enhanced dialog, custom, and genre.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the first audio content includes a dialog in a user selected language.

10. A method for use with a system including a plurality of speakers, a memory, and a processor, the method comprising:

playing a movie having a first audio content for a movie in a first language and a second audio content for the movie in a second language different than the first language;

obtaining, using the processor, a first position of a first user of a first user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers;

obtaining, using the processor, a second position of a second user of a second user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers;

playing, during the playing of the movie and using first one or more of the plurality of speakers, the first audio content for the movie in the first language, based on the first position of the first user of the first user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers; and

playing, during the playing of the movie and using second one or more of the plurality of speakers, the second audio content for the movie in the second language, based on the second position of the second user of the second user device with respect to each of the plurality of speakers.

11. The method of claim 10, further comprising:

receiving, using the processor, a first playback request from the first user device for playing the first audio content; and

receiving, using the processor, a second playback request from the second user device for playing the second audio content.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the first audio content includes a cancellation audio to cancel at least a portion of the second audio content.

13. The method of claim 10, wherein obtaining the first position includes receiving the first position from the user device.

14. The method of claim 10, wherein the system further comprises a camera, wherein obtaining the first position includes using the camera.

15. The method of claim 10, wherein the method further includes receiving a first audio profile from the first user device, and wherein the playing of the first audio content is further based on the first audio profile.

16. The method of claim 10, wherein the first audio profile includes at least one of a language and a listening mode.

17. The method of claim 10, wherein the listening mode includes at least one of normal, enhanced dialog, custom, and genre.

18. The method of claim 10, wherein the first audio content includes dialog in a user selected language.
