1. A method comprising:

  • forming a conductive pattern on a bio-compatible layer to provide at least one sensor electrode, wherein forming the conductive pattern comprises;

    (i) forming a first conductive layer by forming a continuous layer of a first metal on a portion of the bio-compatible layer and (ii) forming a second conductive layer by forming a plurality of segments of a second metal over the first conductive layer, such that the first conductive layer is not covered by the second metal between the segments, and wherein the first metal is more malleable than the second metal; and

    mounting an electronic component to the conductive pattern to provide at least an electrochemical sensor for use in a body-mountable device.
