1. At least one non-transitory machine readable medium including instructions that, when executed by a machine, configure the machine to:

  • generate a receiver identification (ID) token via generation of a new key value and creation of a hash-based message authentication code (HMAC) using the new key and an ID of a transceiver of the machine, the resulting HMAC being the receiver ID token;

    store the receiver ID token in a storage area accessible by a wake-up signal at a low-power wake-up receiver (LP-WUR) on the machine when the LP-WUR is enabled, the LP-WUR being a different radio than the transceiver;

    transmit, by the transceiver, the new key value to a remote transceiver;

    disable the transceiver following a transmission of the new key value;

    receive a wake-up signal at the LP-WUR from the remote transceiver;

    extract, by the LP-WUR, the receiver ID token from the wake-up signal;

    perform, by the LP-WUR, verification on the receiver ID token by a bitwise comparison, without additional processing, of the receiver ID token and the stored receiver ID token, the verification passing if the bits of the receiver ID token match the bits of the stored receiver ID token; and

    enable, by the LP-WUR, the transceiver when the verification passes.
