1. A computer-implemented method of determining accident fault for a vehicle accident involving a vehicle having one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle technologies, the method comprising:

  • operating the one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle technologies of the vehicle to control the vehicle by implementing control actions, wherein the vehicle is at least partially controlled by the control actions of the one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle technologies during the vehicle accident;

    receiving, at one or more processors, performance data associated with operation of the one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle technologies of the vehicle during the vehicle accident, wherein the performance data indicates the control actions implemented by the one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle technologies to control the vehicle during the vehicle accident and includes a log of a plurality of the control actions;

    automatically analyzing, by one or more processors, the received performance data indicative of the control actions implemented by the one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle technologies during the vehicle accident;

    automatically determining, by one or more processors, that the one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle technologies attempted to pass control of the vehicle to a driver within the vehicle prior to the vehicle accident based upon the log of the plurality of the control actions;

    automatically determining, by one or more processors, a duration of time between (i) the one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle technologies attempting to pass control to the driver and (ii) the vehicle accident;

    automatically determining, by one or more processors, using the analyzed performance data indicative of the control actions and based upon the determined duration of time, the following;

    (1) a first percentage of fault for the vehicle accident associated with an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle technology of the vehicle in operation during the vehicle accident; and

    (2) a second percentage of fault for the vehicle accident associated with the driver who was driving the vehicle during the vehicle accident;

    automatically determining, by one or more processors, an adjustment to an insurance policy associated with the vehicle based at least in part upon the determined first and second percentages of fault; and

    causing, by one or more processors, the adjustment to the insurance policy to be implemented.
