1. A method of a network node of a Radio Access Network of providing a service to a mobile terminal in a wireless communications network, the method comprising:

  • receiving a first request for the service from the mobile terminal;

    in response to the first request received from the mobile terminal, communicating with a server providing the requested service;

    receiving an application software from the server providing the requested service, the application software configured to be executed at the network node to provide the mobile terminal with at least part of the requested service, wherein the application software is provided by the server responsive to the communicating;

    providing the mobile terminal with said at least part of the requested service by executing the application software at the network node responsive to the first request;

    receiving a second request related to the service from the mobile terminal wherein the second request is subsequent to the first request; and

    providing, from the network node, the mobile terminal with at least part of the service requested in said second request on behalf of a provider of said service by executing the application software at the network node, wherein the second request terminates at the network node.
