1. An implant unit configured for implantation into a body of a subject, comprising:

  • a flexible carrier unit including a central portion and two elongated arms extending from the central portion;

    an antenna, located on the central portion, configured to receive a signal;

    a first pair of electrodes arranged on a first elongated arm of the two elongated arms, the at least one pair of electrodes being adapted to modulate a first nerve; and

    a second pair of electrodes arranged on a second elongated arm of the two elongated arms, the second pair of electrodes being adapted to modulate a second nerve,whereinthe elongated arms of the flexible carrier are configured to cooperate with the central portion to form opposing ends of an open ended curvature around a muscle with the first nerve to be stimulated within an arc of the curvature,the at least one pair of modulation electrodes are spaced apart from one another and configured to facilitate a first electric field in response to an electric signal received by the antenna, the first electric field including field lines extending in a longitudinal direction of the first nerve, andthe second pair of modulation electrodes are spaced apart from one another and configured to facilitate a second electric field in response to the electric signal, the second electric field including field lines extending in a longitudinal direction of the second nerve.
