1. A touch position-sensing panel, comprising:

  • a sensing region, comprising;

    a substrate;

    a first plurality of electrodes in a first layer, the first plurality of electrodes comprising a conductive mesh and arranged along a first direction, wherein;

    a first electrode of the first plurality of electrodes comprises a first central region located along at least three edges of the touch position-sensing panel, wherein the first central region is a rectangular portion of an electrode material of the first electrode and does not include an electrode material of a second electrode of the first plurality of electrodes;

    the second electrode of the first plurality of electrodes comprises a second central region and is located away from at least two edges of the touch position-sensing panel, a portion of the second central region being adjacent to a third electrode of the first plurality of electrodes;

    a side region extending along a side of the first central region and a side of the second central region, the first electrode extending from the first central region into the side region and the second electrode extending from the second central region into the side region such that the first electrode is interleaved with the second electrode; and

    a width of the second central region of the second electrode of the first plurality of electrodes is two-thirds of a width of the first central region of the first electrode of the first plurality of electrodes;

    the first layer having a first plurality of gaps formed therein;

    a second plurality of electrodes in a second layer, the second plurality of electrodes comprising a conductive mesh and arranged in a second direction that is substantially perpendicular to the first direction;

    the second layer having a second plurality of gaps formed therein;

    a width of a second central region of a second electrode of the second plurality of electrodes is two-thirds of a width of a first central region of a first electrode of the second plurality of electrodes; and

    a plurality of capacitive nodes formed by capacitive coupling of the first plurality of electrodes in the first layer and the second plurality of electrodes in a second layer, the plurality of capacitive nodes comprising at least one center node, at least one edge node, and at least one corner node, respective regions of the at least one center node, at least one edge node, and at least one corner node differing from one another by between 0% or 10% or 0% and 10%.
