A method of increasing the stability of phytase in phytase-comprising granules, the method comprising introducing phytic acid at a concentration of at least 10 millimolal phytic acid to the phytase-comprising granules to obtain a granule composition, wherein the phytase and the phytic acid are functionally adjacent, wherein the phytase and the phytic acid are in a solid state,wherein the particulate composition further comprises a sodium sulfate core, wherein the phytic acid and phytase are contained in a layer surrounding the sodium sulfate core, wherein the phytic acid and phytase layer comprises (a) starch, (b) sucrose, and (c) rapeseed oil or paraffin oil or an antifoaming agent, the particulate composition further comprising a first outer coating comprising sodium sulfate and a second outer coating comprising PVA and talc.
