1. A method for producing a polymer compound, comprising the following steps (a) and (b), wherein the step (a) comprises:

  • a step of obtaining a polyester polymer compound having a crosslinking agent added to a side chain thereof in the presence of an acid catalyst or a base catalyst;

    a step (b);

    a step of redissolving the polymer compound precipitated by mixing the solution containing the polymer compound obtained in the step (a) with a poor solvent, and bringing the redissolved solution into contact with a mixed resin in which an anion exchange resin and a cation exchange resin are mixed;

    a step (c);

    passing the solution containing the polymer compound obtained in the step (b) through a filter containing a charge control agent that generates a zeta potential and does not contain a strongly acidic ion exchange group to obtain a solution containing the polymer compound;

    in the polymer compound obtained by the above production method, the total concentration of acid and alkali impurities is 50ppm or less, and the concentration of each metal impurity of sodium, potassium, calcium and iron is 80ppb or less;

    the mass ratio of the anion exchange resin to the cation exchange resin, namely the mass ratio of the anion exchange resin to the cation exchange resin is 60/40-99/1;

    the charge control agent is polyamide-amine epoxy chloropropane cationic resin;

    the base catalyst is tertiary amine and the acid catalyst is sulfonic acid.
