1. A power generation element that converts vibrational energy into electrical energy to generate electrical power,defining a first axis and a second axis intersecting on a predetermined reference plane,the power generation element includes:

  • a first member extending along the first axis from a root end to a leading end;

    a second member connected to the front end of the first member and extending along the second axis;

    a weight body directly or indirectly connected to the second member;

    a device housing containing the first member, the second member, and the weight body;

    a fixing portion that fixes the root end of the first member to the device case;

    a lower layer electrode laminated at least on a surface of the first member;

    a piezoelectric element laminated on a surface of the lower electrode;

    an upper electrode group composed of a plurality of upper electrodes partially formed on the surface of the piezoelectric element; and

    a power generation circuit rectifying a current generated based on the electric charges generated on the upper electrode and the lower electrode to extract electric power,at least the first member has flexibility, the weight body is connected to the fixing portion through the first member and the second member,the weight body is configured to vibrate within the device housing due to deflection of at least the first member when an external force is applied that causes the device housing to vibrate,by applying stress which expands and contracts in the layer direction, the piezoelectric element has a property of being easily polarized in the thickness direction,the upper electrode group is provided with a front-end-side right-hand electrode and a front-end-side left-hand electrode which are front-end-side electrodes arranged in the vicinity of the front end of the first member and a root-end-side right-hand electrode and a root-end-side left-hand electrode which are root-end-side electrodes arranged in the vicinity of the root end of the first member, and each upper electrode is provided so as to extend along the first axis and so as to be opposed to a predetermined region of the lower electrode via the piezoelectric element,when acceleration in a direction orthogonal to the first axis and the second axis acts on the weight body, a sign of the electric charge generated in the tip end side electrode and a sign of the electric charge generated in the root end side electrode are different,on the first member, when defining a center line along the first axis and right and left hand sides with respect to the center line, the front-end-side right-hand electrode is disposed on the right hand side of the center line, the front-end-side left-hand electrode is disposed on the left hand side of the center line, the root-end-side right-hand electrode is disposed on the right hand side of the center line, the root-end-side left-hand electrode is disposed on the left hand side of the center line,when defining a first plane located at the root end of the first member and orthogonal to the first axis and a second plane located at the front end of the first member and orthogonal to the first axis, the center of gravity of the weight body is arranged in a position sandwiched between the first plane and the second plane.
