1. A method of designing a multi-tuned filter for a hvdc system, the method comprising:

  • selecting input parameters for the multi-tuned filter;

    setting a resonant frequency of the multi-tuned filter;

    calculating an inductance value and a capacitance value as filter parameters of a multi-tuned filter based on the input parameters and a resonant frequency;

    combining the resistance value with the filter parameter and calculating a price from the combination; and

    when the calculated price falls within a predetermined price range, storing a combined value of the resistance, the inductance and the capacitance,setting a minimum resistance and a maximum resistance of the resistance values in consideration of an amount of reactive power required for stabilization of a system or a load connected to the multi-tuned filter, and designing the resistance values in consideration of the amount of reactive power for inductances and capacitances within a range in which filter impedances satisfy a predetermined threshold,the calculated price is calculated by considering the price and the number of the resistance, the inductance and the capacitance,the selecting input parameters for the multi-tuned filter comprises;

    selecting a first filtering frequency corresponding to the 11 th harmonic component and a second filtering frequency corresponding to the 13 th harmonic component;

    the setting the resonant frequency of the multi-tuned filter comprises;

    setting the resonant frequency to a frequency range between the first filter frequency and the second filter frequency;

    the method further comprises the following steps;

    recalculating values of the inductance and the capacitance when the calculated price falls outside a predetermined price range; and

    after storing the combined values of the resistance, inductance and capacitance, an optimization taking into account the filter performance loss is performed,the performing optimization that takes into account filter performance loss includes;

    calculating a first objective function related to the price of each element corresponding to the combined value of the resistance, the inductance and the capacitance;

    calculating a second objective function representing a performance loss of the element;

    selecting weights for the first objective function and the second objective function; and

    the suitability of the objective function integrated by the weights is evaluated.
