1. A method of manufacturing a portion of a wind turbine blade (10), the method comprising the steps of:

  • laying a primary fibre material in a mould;

    infusing the primary fiber material with a primary resin;

    substantially curing the primary resin in the primary fibre material to form a cured blade element (60,

         160) comprising at least a part of a wind turbine blade shell;

    laying a secondary fibre material on top of at least a portion of the cured blade element;

    infusing the secondary fibrous material with a secondary resin different from the primary resin, wherein the secondary resin has a higher strength level than the primary resin; and

    curing the secondary resin in the secondary fibre material to form an integral reinforcement part (70,

         170) on the cured blade element (60,

         160), wherein the integral reinforcement part (70,

         170) forms a primary laminate part of the wind turbine blade shell on the cured blade element,wherein the step of laying up the primary fibre material comprises arranging the primary fibre material in the mould to define a recess to receive a reinforcement, and wherein the step of laying up the secondary fibre material comprises arranging the secondary fibre material in the recess.
