1. A process for the production of tetrafluoropropene comprising, alternately:

  • -at least one stage of reaction of a chlorine-containing compound with hydrofluoric acid in the gas phase in the presence of a fluorination catalyst;

    -a stage of regenerating the fluorination catalyst by contacting it with a regeneration stream comprising an oxidizing agent,wherein the stage of reaction of the chlorine-containing compound with hydrofluoric acid is carried out in the complete absence of any oxidizing agent,wherein the fluorination catalyst is freshly regenerated and,wherein the gas phase reaction is carried out;

    -a molar ratio of HF/chlorine-containing compound of from 5;

    1 to 50;

    1;

    -a contact time of 2-40 s;

    at 250-oThe temperature of C;

    wherein the reaction period is 10-86 hours.
