1. Method for operating a gas turbine plant and for cooling a high thermal load plant, wherein the gas turbine plant is essentially composed of at least one compressor, at least one combustion chamber, at least one turbine and at least one electric machine, characterized in that:

  • a portion of the compressed air (18) which is not used for combustion is supplied by at least one generator (14) which is used for conversion and operates as a heat exchanger, the natural gas/water or natural gas/steam mixture (15) is passed through the same generator, the energy necessary for carrying out the endothermic reaction of the mixture (15) is released by cooling the compressed air (18) in the generator (14), and the cooled compressed air (19) is subsequently used as high-quality cooling air for the cooling device.
