1. Method for producing free swimming artemia nauplii from a quantity of artemia cysts, including diapauzing cysts, in particular hatching cysts in a hatching medium having a density comprising at most about 5g of cysts on dry matter per liter of hatching medium and a hatching time being a predetermined time and hatching conditions being conditions allowing at least a part of the cysts to hatch and release free swimming nauplii within the predetermined time, in which method the cysts are contacted with hydrogen peroxide for breaking the diapauzation of at least a part of said diapauzing cysts, so that the cysts produce free swimming nauplii within the predetermined time, whereby the hatching percentage of hatching cysts in the total intact cysts increases from X% when contacted with said hydrogen peroxide to a hatching percentage higher than X% when contacted with said hydrogen peroxide, characterized in that said hydrogen peroxide is introduced into the hatching medium in an amount selected from 0.5-30 mg/liter of hatching medium Wherein the cysts are hatched at a density of at most about 5g dry matter cysts/L to increase the hatching percentage from X% to a value higher than X%.
