1. the conjugate of hydroxyalkyl starch and low molecular weight substance, it is characterized in that the combination between this hydroxyalkyl starch molecule and the low molecular weight substance is the covalent bonding that forms based on coupling reaction between following two kinds of groups:

  • (i) the terminal aldehyde radical of hydroxyalkyl starch molecule, or by chemical reaction by the deutero-functional group of this aldehyde radical, (ii) can be with this aldehyde radical of hydroxyalkyl starch molecule or by the functional group of the low molecular weight substance of its deutero-functional group reactions, wherein can modify the bonding that coupling reaction directly produces by further reaction in case of necessity and form above-mentioned covalent bonding.
