Abstract
A method of decoding encoded channelization code set information to determine the number of multicodes (P) and the code offset (O) in spread spectrum data transmission. The method includes the steps of: deriving P (30  40) according to the formula that is the function of maximum number of multicodes (m) and the first and second group (A and B) of the channelization code set information , and then deriving O (4248) according to the formula that is the function of P and m and B and n (n is the function of m). This method minimizes the processing power and/or memory requirement.
