Labyrinth Optical Technologies [NPE], a subsidiary of Acacia Research, filed suit against Alcatel-Lucent, alleging that Alcatel’s photonic service switch infringes two patents related to an optical communications.  This is the first patent infringement lawsuit filed by Labyrinth Optical Technologies. The patents were originally assigned to Teradvance Communications; the assignment to Acacia/Labyrinth has yet to be recorded by the PTO. Labyrinth is the fourth Acacia entity to sue Alcatel-Lucent since June of 2011. (Adaptix, Chalumeau Networks, and Lamda Optical are the others.)  5/10, Central District of California, Judge Andrew J.
