C-Cation Settles with Comcast and Sues Time Warner Cable

C-Cation Technologies filed suit against Time Warner Cable shortly after conclusion of the patent holder’s 2011 suit against Comcast. Comcast was dismissed with prejudice in January. The complaint against Time Warner Cable also names three of the multiple service operator’s equipment suppliers: Arris, Casa, and Cisco. Defendants are accused of infringing a patent related to dynamic channel management (5,563,883).  The patent, filed by individual inventor Alex Cheng in 1994, expires in July. 2/4, Eastern District of Texas, 2:14cv00059
