Summit 6 Targets Twitter Functionality in New Handset Case

Following last year’s success at trial, Summit 6 has filed a new case asserting the same two patents previously used in litigation (6,895,557, 7,765,482) along with a third patent that has not previously been asserted (8,612,515). The suit names Twitter as a defendant along with Apple, HTC, LG, and Motorola MobilityThe five defendants are accused of infringement through integration of Twitter content upload functionality. Summit sued Facebook, Multiply, Photobucket and Samsung in 2011.  At trial in 2013, a jury found in favor of Summit against Samsung- the last remaining defendant. 2/23, Northern District of Texas, 3:11cv00367
