Inventor Luciano F. Paone sued Intel in the second suit of a campaign begun in 2007. The complaint asserts a patent related to a cryptographic algorithm using product ciphers, and Paone is the sole inventor on the patent-in-suit (6,259,789). Intel’s products that use Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) encryption are accused of infringement.
