ILEA, a Sub of Resurgent Equitable IP, Keeps Networking Campaign Alive in 2020
International License Exchange of America, LLC (ILEA), a subsidiary of Equitable IP Corporation, has filed a new round of cases, suing Blucora (Monoprice) (8:20-cv-00756), Moxa (8:20-cv-00758), and TP-Link (8:20-cv-00759) in the Central District of California over the same six patents at issue in the last suit in the campaign. The patents generally relate to transmitting “data frames” to devices on a virtual local area network (VLAN), with infringement allegations focusing on the defendants’ respective provision of certain network devices, including gateways, switches, and routers. That last case, filed in mid-November 2019 against D-Link, also in the Central District of California, settled at the end of March.
