IPRs and District Court Claim Construction Navigated, LoganTree Files Fresh Wearables Suits

LoganTree LP has filed new litigation in the wearables campaign that it began back in 2015, suing Fossil (Misfit) (1:21-cv-00385) in the District of Delaware and Huawei (6:21-cv-00119) in the Western District of Texas over the same patent. The suits follow a claim construction ruling in a long-stayed dispute with Garmin that sprung back to life after unsuccessful inter partes reviews (IPRs) of the patent, which generally relates to monitoring human physical activity.
