After hitting Fossil (Misfit) and Huawei in its revived wearables campaign in March, inventor-backed LoganTree LP has filed new cases against Apple (6:21-cv-00397) in the Western District of Texas and LG Electronics (LGE) (4:21-cv-00332) in the Eastern District of the same state. A single patent generally related to monitoring human physical activity is asserted throughout, the claims of the patent having survived several inter partes reviews (IPRs) and having been construed in a January 2021 Markman order from District of Kansas Judge Eric F. Melgren, who is presiding over an earlier case, against Garmin.
