Kajeet, Inc. has again expanded its litigation over parental controls, accusing Trend Micro (6:21-cv-00389) of infringement through the provision of various software products, including the Trend Micro Premium Security Suite, Maximum Security, Internet Security, Mobile Security, and other products that “include Trend Micro’s parental control features”. The new Western District of Texas complaint comes a couple of months after Delaware District Judge Maryellen Noreika agreed with Central District of California Judge John A. Kronstadt that an early Alice challenge to the claims of the asserted patent should be rejected—on a narrow basis.
