TOT Power Control, S.L. has expanded the litigation campaign that it began this past February. While those cases targeted wireless carriers, the new defendants are Apple (1:21-cv-01302), LG Electronics (LGE) (1:21-cv-01304), and Samsung (1:21-cv-01305), each sued over the same two cellular communications patents, with infringement allegations still focused on support for Wideband CDMA-based wireless networks, this time through the provision of devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, and smart watches) that include wireless baseband processors manufactured by Intel and/or Qualcomm (and, with respect to the Samsung accused products, installed “perhaps by MediaTek”).
