First NXP, Then Intel, for MIMO Research

June 1, 2022

MIMO Research, LLC has filed suit against Intel (6:22-cv-00542) in the Western District of Texas over two of the four wireless communications patents asserted in the first complaint that it filed in this new campaign, against NXP Semiconductors (6:22-cv-00501) in the same district. MIMO Research accuses Intel of infringement through the provision of Wi-Fi modules supporting Wi-Fi 6 as well as field-programmable gate array (FPGA) design software and related technologies that incorporate finite impulse response (FIR) filters. NXP is targeted over the provision of certain WiFi and Bluetooth modules, microcontrollers, and ultra-wideband (UWB) transmitters and transceivers.
