Box, DigiSigner, DocuFirst, and Dropbox Hit with “Paperless Mortgage Closings” Patent
Delaware plaintiff Secure Ink LLC has filed its first litigation, suing Box (6:24-cv-00072) and Dropbox (6:24-cv-00074) in the Western District of Texas, DigiSigner (2:24-cv-00076) in the Eastern District of Texas, and DocuFirst (4:24-cv-00417) in the Southern District of Texas over a single patent generally related to an “electronic mortgage closing document processing system”. Secure Ink, which does not plead defensively against an Alice challenge in its complaints, targets the provision of “Web-based electronic signature document processing platform[s] that can be accessed via websites and mobile apps”.
