Inventor-Controlled C47 Technologies Sues Lenovo and TCL over Camera Functionalities

June 7, 2024

Following its inaugural case against Samsung last month, inventor-controlled C47 Technologies LLC has now filed suit against Lenovo (Motorola Mobility) (2:24-cv-00406) and TCL Technology (TCT Mobile US) (2:24-cv-00417), both in the Eastern District of Texas. The sole asserted patent, also at issue in the first case, generally relates to image capturing and processing. The defendants are accused of infringement through the provision of smartphones with camera arrays that incorporate multiple digital cameras and/or sensors. At issue is the support for certain camera features, such as Portrait Mode.
