Equitable IP’s IC Display Systems Targets More LCDs
IC Display Systems LLC has filed a new complaint against each of Lenovo (1:17-cv-00267) and VIZIO (1:17-cv-00268) in the campaign that the Equitable IP Corporation affiliate began last fall. A single patent (5,892,561), generally related to liquid crystal (LC) panels, is asserted against the defendants, which are accused of infringement through the manufacture and sale of LCD monitors (Lenovo) and LCD HDTVs (VIZIO).

Equitable IP Affiliate Sues Fujitsu over HDMI Products, Asserting Patent Acquired from IV
Nbit Communications Systems, LLC, an apparent affiliate of Equitable IP Corporation, has launched a new litigation campaign, asserting a single data transmission patent (6,311,239) against DPI (1:16-cv-01057), Fujitsu (1:16-cv-01058), Funai (1:16-cv-01059), and ViewSonic (1:16-cv-01060). At issue are a variety of products incorporating HDMI, with DPI alleged to infringe the ‘239 patent through the provision of home audio systems, standalone TVs, and TVs with built-in DVD players; Fujitsu, through laptops, displays, and hardware video encoders; Funai, through Blu-ray players, DVD and VCR recording devices, DVRs, and HDTVs; and ViewSonic, through displays, network media players, and projectors.

LC Displays at Issue in Latest Equitable IP Campaign
Through a recently formed affiliate, Equitable IP Corporation has launched a new campaign, asserting a single patent (5,892,561), generally related to liquid crystal (LC) panels, for the first time in litigation. LC displays in certain monitors, tablets, printers, etc. of Acer (1:16-cv-00959), AU Optronics (1:16-cv-00958), Konica Minolta (1:16-cv-00960), and LG Electronics (1:16-cv-00961) are accused of infringement. The plaintiff is IC Display Systems LLC, an entity that it appears Equitable IP formed in Delaware late this past July.
