Trover Group Video Monitoring Campaign Approaches Ten Years Running
Trover Group Inc. has filed another 16 cases in its long-running video security systems campaign. The new defendants include D-Link (2:15-cv-02080), Video Security Specialists (2:15-cv-02081), and VIVOTEK (2:15-cv-02091). Each complaint asserts one or both of two patents (5,751,345; 5,751,346) generally related to video monitoring systems. The ‘345 patent focuses on systems that store and retrieve images and related transaction data, while the ‘346 patent concerns systems that store images based on changes in pixilation between images.

Trover Group’s Long-running Campaign Hits Another Digital Device Maker
Samsung was added as a defendant to a nearly decade-long litigation campaign run by inventor-controlled Trover Group Inc. In a case filed this week (2:15-cv-00086), Trover Group and its sister corporation, The Security Center, Inc., accuse over 45 Samsung products of infringing two patents related to video security systems (5,751,345; 5,751,346). The list of accused products includes cameras with HD video streaming as well as DVR security systems.
