1. A lighting system powered by an AC voltage source, the lighting system comprising:
- a high-frequency AC driver configured to receive at least two different AC forward voltages and having an AC voltage input and an AC voltage output, the AC voltage input being one of the at least two different AC forward voltages, the AC voltage output being a relatively constant frequency, wherein the relatively constant frequency is substantially higher than a frequency of the AC voltage input;
a bridge rectifier connected to an output of the high-frequency AC driver that provides a rectified AC voltage output;
a semiconductor device connected to the bridge rectifier that regulates voltage and current of the rectified AC voltage output;
at least two LED circuits each of which has at least two LEDs connected in series, electrically connected to an output of the semiconductor device; and
the at least two LED circuits connected to the AC voltage output of the high-frequency AC driver in either a series relationship or a parallel relationship.
