Abstract

The present invention relates to systems and methods for optimizing and managing advertising campaigns. The method of the present invention comprises storing one or more advertisement data structures associated with an ad group data structure in the ad group data structure. One or more ad group data structures associated with a campaign data structure are stored in an ad campaign data structure. Additionally, one or more ad campaign data structures associated with an advertised property are stored in an account data structure.

Claims

1. A system for organizing advertising content associated with an advertised property, the system comprises:

one or more ad group data structures operative to store one or more advertisements associated with one or more ad group data structures;

one or more campaign data structures operative to store the one or more ad group data structures associated with a given ad campaign; and

one or more account data structures operative to store one or more ad campaigns associated with the advertised property.

2. The system of claim 1 wherein the one or more advertisements store a creative and a URL to the advertised property.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein a given advertisement comprises one or more search terms associated with the given advertisement.

4. The system of claim 2, wherein the one or more advertisements include one or more of a maximum bid value, minimum bid value and bidding position for one or more search terms associated with the given advertisement.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein a given ad group data structure includes one or more of a maximum bid value, minimum bid value, and bidding position for one or more search terms associated with the given ad group.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein a given campaign data structure includes one or more of a sponsored search ad group, content match ad group, and banner ad group.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein a given campaign data structure comprises an advertising budget allocated for the given ad campaign.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein a given account data structure comprises an advertising budget allocated for the advertised property.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein a given account data structure comprises one or more scripts for retrieving customer session data from the advertised property.

10. The system of claim 1, wherein a given account data structure comprises customer session data retrieved from the advertised property.

11. A method for organizing advertising content associated with an advertised property, the method comprises:

storing, in an ad group data structure, one or more advertisement data structures associated with the ad group data structure;

storing, in a campaign data structure, one or more ad group data structures associated with the ad campaign data structure; and

storing, in an account data structure, one or more ad campaign data structures associated with the advertised property.

12. The method of claim 11 comprising of storing a creative and a URL to the advertised property in a given advertisement data structure.

13. The method of claim 12 comprising storing one or more search terms in a given advertisement data structure.

14. The method of claim 12 wherein storing includes storing in a given advertisement data structure one or more of a maximum bid value, minimum bid value, and bidding position for one or more search terms associated with the given advertisement.

15. The method of claim 11 wherein storing includes storing in a given ad group data structure one or more of a maximum bid value, minimum bid value, and bidding position for one or more search terms associated with the given ad group.

16. The method of claim 11 wherein storing includes storing in the campaign data structure one or more of a sponsored search ad group, content match ad group, and banner ad group.

17. The method of claim 11 wherein storing comprises storing in the campaign data structure an advertising budget allocated for a given ad campaign.

18. The method of claim 11 wherein storing comprises storing in the account data structure an advertising budget allocated for the advertised property.

19. The method of claim 11 wherein storing comprises storing in a given account data structure one or more scripts for retrieving customer session data from the advertised property.

20. The method of claim 11 wherein storing comprises storing in the account data structure customer session data retrieved from the advertised property.

21. A method for organizing advertising content associated with an advertised web property, the method comprises:

creating an advertising account;

associating the account with the advertised property;

creating one or more ad campaigns associated with the account;

creating one or more ad groups associated with the ad campaign; and

creating one or more advertisements associated with the ad group.

22. The method of claim 21, wherein an advertisement comprises a creative and a URL identifying a location of the advertised property.

23. The method of claim 22 comprising associating one or more search terms with the advertisement.

24. The method of claim 22 comprising associating the advertisement with one or more of a maximum bid value, minimum bid value, and bidding position for one or more search terms.

25. The method of claim 21 comprising associating the ad group with one or more of a maximum bid value, minimum bid value, and bidding position for one or more search terms.

26. The method of claim 21 wherein creating an ad group includes an ad group selected from the set including a sponsored search ad group, content match ad group, and banner ad group.

27. The method of claim 21 comprising associating an ad campaign with an advertising budget.

28. The method of claim 21 comprising associating the advertised property with an advertising budget.

29. The method of claim 21 comprising creating one or more scripts for retrieving customer session data from the advertised property.

30. The method of claim 21 comprising retrieving customer session data from the advertised property.
