- administering insulin to a patient to lower blood glucose concentration;
acquiring an electroneurogram of carotid sinus nerve activity;
based at least in part on the administering and the acquiring, determining a relationship between blood glucose and carotid sinus nerve activity; and
sensing carotid sinus nerve activity and using the relationship to control delivery of a therapy wherein the therapy comprises increasing sympathetic activity responsive to sensing carotid sinus nerve activity indicative of a decrease in blood glucose.
