- selectively exposing to heat an assemblage comprising a donor element comprising a transfer layer on a base support, wherein the transfer layer comprises at least one binder and a first colorant, and a receiver element comprising a support and an image receiving layer, thereby transferring portions of the transfer layer to form a desired patterned layer on the image receiving layer of the receiver element, applying a transparent first electrical contact layer;
applying a layer of organic light-emitting material; and
applying a second electrical contact layer.
