Abstract

Systems and methods for seamlessly integrating disparate data systems to securely, customizably and dynamically collaborate and share real-time information, and for providing intelligent data sharing that supports multiple standards concurrently and provides automatic conversioning of data information. A universal scripting language is used across disparate systems in coordination with dynamic interfacing technologies, data protocol and format conversion technologies, and transport-layer secure socket technologies. Information is transmitted and received across a plurality of disparate systems, applications, and/or devices, across a plurality of disparate frequencies, regardless of the protocol employed by each of the plurality of any disparate system, application and/or device.

Claims

1. A method for dynamically integrating information across disparate systems, the method comprising:

performing an electronic query from a client device for information across one or more disparate systems regardless of specific protocols employed by the disparate systems;

identifying which resources on the disparate systems a user of the client device is allowed to access based on a level of authorization;

if the user is authorized to obtain at least a portion of information queried, performing the query; and

seamlessly displaying authorized results of the query on a user interface in a fully integrated manner regardless of the disparate systems from which the results were obtained.

2. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein the step for performing an electronic query utilizes a universal language.

3. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein the results of the query are displayed at a client device.

4. A method as recited in claim 3, wherein the client device is at least one of:

(i) an electronic device; and

(ii) a computer device.

5. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein the results of the query are displayed on an internet web page.

6. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein the electronic query includes a request to receive results in a particular protocol regardless of the specific protocols employed by the disparate systems.

7. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein the disparate systems are across a variety of different industries.

8. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein the disparate systems are across a variety of different entities.

9. A method as recited in claim 1, wherein the step for performing the query comprises:

establishing a connection between the client device and a master node;

dynamically identifying a location of the queried information;

submitting the query to the identified location; and

responding to the query based on the level of authorization.

10. A method as recited in claim 9, wherein the step for dynamically identifying a location of the queried information comprises identifying sources of information across the disparate systems, wherein the step for identifying includes at least one of:

using identifying known data sources having at least a portion of the queried information; and

using a crawler to identify unknown data sources that include at least a portion of the queried information.

11. A computer program product for implementing within a computer system a method for dynamically integrating information across disparate systems, the computer program product comprising:

a computer readable medium for providing computer program code means utilized to implement the method, wherein the computer program code means is comprised of executable code for implementing the steps for;

performing an electronic query from a client device for information across one or more disparate systems regardless of specific protocols employed by the disparate systems;

identifying which resources on the disparate systems a user of the client device is allowed to access based on a level of authorization;

if the user is authorized to obtain at least a portion of information queried, performing the query; and

seamlessly displaying authorized results of the query on a user interface in a fully integrated manner regardless of the disparate systems from which the results were obtained.

12. A computer program product as recited in claim 11, wherein the step for performing an electronic query utilizes a universal language.

13. A computer program product as recited in claim 11, wherein the results of the query are displayed on at least one of:

(i) the client device; and

(ii) an internet web page.

14. A computer program product as recited in claim 11, wherein the electronic query includes a request to receive results in a particular protocol regardless of the specific protocols employed by the disparate systems.

15. A computer program product as recited in claim 11, wherein the step for performing the query comprises:

establishing a connection between the client device and a master node;

dynamically identifying a location of the queried information;

submitting the query to the identified location; and

responding to the query based on the level of authorization.

16. A method as recited in claim 14, wherein the step for dynamically identifying a location of the queried information comprises identifying sources of information across the disparate systems, wherein the step for identifying includes at least one of:

using identifying known data sources having at least a portion of the queried information; and

using a crawler to identify unknown data sources that include at least a portion of the queried information.

17. A method for providing a dynamic, robust and integrated system, the method comprising:

providing one or more master nodes in communication with a client node;

communicatively coupling one or more data nodes to the master nodes; and

using crawlers to identify sources of information on the system and to inform the master nodes of information source locations.

18. A method as recited in claim 17, wherein at least some of the data nodes represent one or more disparate systems.

19. A method as recited in claim 18, further comprising a step for using a universal language to selectively access information across the disparate systems regardless of the protocol employed by the disparate systems.

20. A method for dynamically integrating information across disparate systems, the method comprising:

providing an enterprise having a master node and a plurality of disparate systems;

using crawlers across the enterprise to identify sources of information on the disparate systems to the master node; and

redundantly informing a second master node on the enterprise of information source locations.

21. A method as recited in claim 20, further comprising a step for using a universal language to selectively exchange information across the disparate systems regardless of the protocol employed by the disparate systems.

22. A method as recited in claim 20, further comprising

providing the master nodes in communication with a client node;

and

communicatively coupling one or more data nodes to the master nodes wherein at least some of the data nodes represent one or more of the plurality of disparate systems.
