Abstract

To provide a semiconductor device in which a layer to be peeled is attached to a base having a curved surface, and a method of manufacturing the same, and more particularly, a display having a curved surface, and more specifically a light-emitting device having a light emitting element attached to a base with a curved surface. A layer to be peeled, which contains a light emitting element furnished to a substrate using a laminate of a first material layer which is a metallic layer or nitride layer, and a second material layer which is an oxide layer, is transferred onto a film, and then the film and the layer to be peeled are curved, to thereby produce a display having a curved surface.

Claims

1. An illumination device comprising:

a flexible substrate;

an adhesive layer over the flexible substrate; and

a light emitting element over the adhesive layer,

wherein the light emitting element comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and a light emitting layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, the light emitting layer comprising an organic compound.

7. An illumination device according to claim 1, wherein the illumination device is a passive matrix type.

11. An illumination device according to claim 1, wherein the light emitting layer further comprises a light emitting material which emits fluorescence.

15. An illumination device according to claim 1, wherein the light emitting layer further comprises a light emitting material which emits phosphorescence.

19. An illumination device according to claim 1, wherein the organic compound is a high molecular compound.

2. An illumination device for being mounted in an automobile comprising:

a flexible substrate;

an adhesive layer over the flexible substrate; and

a light emitting element over the adhesive layer,

wherein the light emitting element comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and a light emitting layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, the light emitting layer comprising an organic compound.

8. An illumination device according to claim 2, wherein the illumination device is a passive matrix type.

12. An illumination device according to claim 2, wherein the light emitting layer further comprises a light emitting material which emits fluorescence.

16. An illumination device according to claim 2, wherein the light emitting layer further comprises a light emitting material which emits phosphorescence.

20. An illumination device according to claim 2, wherein the organic compound is a high molecular compound.

3. An automobile comprising:

a front windshield;

a seat opposed to the front windshield;

a ceiling above the seat;

a light emitting device attached to the seat,

wherein the light emitting device comprises;

a light emitting element over a substrate,

wherein the light emitting element comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and a light emitting layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, the light emitting layer comprising an organic compound.

5. An automobile according to claim 3, further comprising an adhesive layer over the substrate,

wherein the substrate is flexible.

9. An automobile according to claim 3, wherein the light emitting device is a passive matrix type.

13. An automobile according to claim 3, wherein the light emitting layer further comprises a light emitting material which emits fluorescence.

17. An automobile according to claim 3, wherein the light emitting layer further comprises a light emitting material which emits phosphorescence.

21. An automobile according to claim 3, wherein the organic compound is a high molecular compound.

4. An automobile comprising;

a front windshield;

a seat opposed to the front windshield;

a ceiling above the seat;

a light emitting device attached to the ceiling,

wherein the light emitting device comprises;

a light emitting element over a substrate,

wherein the light emitting element comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and a light emitting layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, the light emitting layer comprising an organic compound.

6. An automobile according to claim 4, further comprising an adhesive layer over the substrate,

wherein the substrate is flexible.

10. An automobile according to claim 4, wherein the light emitting device is a passive matrix type.

14. An automobile according to claim 4, wherein the light emitting layer further comprises a light emitting material which emits fluorescence.

18. An automobile according to claim 4, wherein the light emitting layer further comprises a light emitting material which emits phosphorescence.

22. An automobile according to claim 4, wherein the organic compound is a high molecular compound.
