23. A method of detecting a target analyte in a test sample comprising:
-
a) adding a target analyte to an electrode comprising; i) a transition metal complex with a first E0, said transition metal complex comprising a metal selected from the group consisting of manganese, technetium, rhenium, iron, ruthenium, osmium, cobalt, rhodium, iridium, nickel, palladium, platinum, copper, silver and gold; and ii) a binding ligand that will bind said target analyte; such that upon binding of said target analyte to said binding ligand the transition metal complex is formed and said first E0 is altered to result in a second different E0; and b) measuring electron transfer of said transition metal complex at said first E0 and electron transfer of said transition metal complex at said second E0. - View Dependent Claims (24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45)
