1. A method of receiving control information by a terminal in a mobile communications system having a single control channel and a plurality of common channels and having a network that periodically transmits the control information via the control channel, the method comprising:
- periodically receiving the control channel;
detecting, at a particular time, an identifier from the received control channel; and
receiving data via a particular common channel that is indicated by control information that includes the detected identifier.
